Who We Are
|
Several small, rural telecommunications companies providing local exchange service in Colorado formed the Colorado Telecommunications Associations (CTA) in 1963. The stated purpose of the organization was to advance the interest of rural telecommunications. |
CTA's Bylaws today provide that its Mission is:
|
Over the years the Association has grown and expanded its membership. There are three categories of membership. Category One Companies continue to be providers of local exchange service. Category Two Companies may be interexchange carriers, wireless providers, information services providers or competitive local exchange providers. Category Three Members are vendors and suppliers of goods and services to the telecommunications industry. |
CTA's Category One Member Companies have quality, up-to-date plant, equipment and switches in place to serve their customers' telecommunications needs. All provide single party service. All provide intraLATA equal access and most provide SS7 signaling system capability. Some of our rural companies are making high speed internet access available to their customers. |
CTA's members are dedicated to providing the highest quality telecommunications services available at affordable prices for all their customers in rural Colorado. |
